Vision, Goals, and Sisterhood: 5 Ways to Stay Committed to Your Wellness Routine

Recently, I attended a vision board party with some of my closest friends. It was a morning filled with laughter, creativity, and meaningful conversations as we shared our wellness goals and dreams for the year ahead. Each of us brought unique aspirations to the table, yet we realized we were all striving for the same thing: to prioritize our wellness in the midst of busy, chaotic lives. This much needed time with these wonderful women reminded me that we are all on our own journey to wellness, and community plays a vital role in keeping us motivated and aligned. Inspired by that experience, I’m excited to share five practical ways to support your wellness routine, overcome distractions, and foster connections with like-minded women.

1. Anchor Your Wellness Routine to Your "Why"

For me, my 2025 vision centers on creating a sustainable and balanced life that supports hormonal health, emotional well-being, and physical vitality. My "why" is rooted in showing up fully for my family, being an example to my clients, and living with purpose and energy. Your wellness journey isn’t just about the number on the scale or the calories burned—it’s about the deeper "why." Whether you’re working to be more present with your kids, feel confident in your body, or have energy to enjoy the little moments, grounding your routine in purpose will make it easier to stay consistent. Take a moment today to journal about your "why" and keep it somewhere visible to remind you on tough days.

Quick Tip: Write your "why" on a sticky note and place it on your bathroom mirror or refrigerator for daily motivation.

2. Plan Your Week with Intentionality

Planning is a cornerstone of my 2025 wellness routine. Each Sunday, I plan to take time to map out my meals, workouts, and even my downtime. This routine will help me stay aligned with my goals while avoiding the overwhelm of decision fatigue. Having a clear plan can make the difference between thriving and just surviving. Set aside time every Sunday to plan your meals, workouts, and self-care activities for the week. Use this planning time to identify potential challenges (e.g., a busy workday or a kid’s extracurricular activity) and create backup plans.

Quick Tip: Invest in a planner or use a digital app to block off time for your wellness activities, just like you would for any other important commitment.

3. Master the Art of Micro-Moments

One of the ways I plan to make wellness fit seamlessly into my life is by embracing micro-moments. Micro- moments are impactful actions—like journaling for five minutes or doing a quick meditation to help me stay on track even during busy days. Sometimes, life gets in the way, and that’s okay. But even on the busiest days, you can still create wellness "micro-moments." These are small actions that take just a few minutes but make a big impact over time. Think stretching for five minutes before bed, doing a quick breathing exercise in the carpool line, or drinking a full glass of water first thing in the morning.

Quick Tip: Create a list of wellness micro-moments that take less than 10 minutes and keep it handy for those hectic days.

4. Set Boundaries to Overcome Distractions

As someone balancing a business, family, and personal wellness, I’ve learned the importance of boundaries. For instance, I set a "no phone" rule during my workouts and use dedicated work hours to ensure I stay present with my family in the evenings. Distractions are inevitable, but they don’t have to derail your routine. Protect your wellness time by setting clear boundaries with your family, work, and even your phone. Teach your kids the importance of your self-care time by modeling it as a non-negotiable.

Quick Tip: Use "do not disturb" mode on your phone during your workouts, meditation, or mealtime to create a distraction-free zone.

5. Create or Join a Supportive Community

In 2025, my vision includes building a thriving She Chose Wellness community where women like you can find support, inspiration, and accountability. Personally, I’ve leaned into this by connecting with other wellness-focused women online and fostering a network of accountability partners. Wellness is a journey best traveled with others. Whether it’s a group of moms walking together after school drop-off, a virtual accountability group, or even an online wellness community like She Chose Wellness, connecting with others who share similar goals can boost your motivation and keep you accountable.

Quick Tip: Look for local fitness classes, online wellness challenges, or create a group chat with friends who are also on a wellness journey. Better yet, join the She Chose Wellness community to gain support, tips, and inspiration.
